You don't have to look up at the stars
Occasionally I'll be browsing the internet (clicking through blogs or repeatedly pressing the "someone new" button on listography) and I'll find someone who reminds me of me. She's usually sixteen, and her little icon photo is not distasteful. Her list of favorite books tends to include those by Jane Austen and Sarah Dessen, and she probably has some kind of reference to "Gilmore Girls." Some element of Harry Potter is probably present.And then it sort of hits me, when I'm reading about these girls who leave on the other side of the country but are so much like me, that the things that I thought made me interesting aren't actually that unique after all. I'm just a normal teenage girl who likes the things that teenage girls like. There are two sides to this - disappointment (I wish I was quirky) and relief (I'm not as weird as I thought I was). At least I can give myself credit for being able to make absolutely no sense.
Oh hey guess what? I haven't played Farmville in months. MONTHS. And I don't miss it at all. Also, listography is the best thing I've found on the internet in a long time. Even though Briana found it. Even even though Krista really found it.
