There's a key to your heart, no one's found it yet

Right now I am sitting at my desk listening to the new Selena Gomez album, which isn't totally horrible, and not really doing anything besides that, which is fine, I guess.  Tomorrow I'm going to the doctor so he can sign my health form so I can go to college, and I'm getting my hair cut, dyed back to its natural color hopefully and maybe cut more than half an inch, if I'm annoyed with it enough tomorrow morning.  Today my mom and I went to Target and had lunch at Wahoo's Fish Tacos and went to Trader Joe's and the bookstore.  I finally finished "The Vampire Diaries" and I guess I should be glad that the most traumatic thing that's happened to me is something that I've watched on television.

I love the way you know who you are

Okay, so it's official:  I am a big cheesy sap, and I love overproduced pop songs and ridiculous plot-less Disney movies and their equally crappy sequels and fictional-and-improbable-but-defying-all-odds soul mates.  But see, I think there's a difference between the way I feel about stuff like that, stupid soul-sucking stuff, and art history and literature and, I don't know, Paris.  For the cheesy stuff - you have to take it at face value, you have to say, "okay, this is what it is and I can't expect it to do anymore for me" and that means accepting that it's all corporate and for profit but that doesn't mean it's not fun.

I was thinking about the definition of fun earlier, and how everyone's concept of fun is different, and how I can have fun by staying home and baking cookies and watching "The OC" and emailing really long logs-of-our-lives back and forth with Jess.  I don't want to go to football games or big parties or whatever - and I don't know why people have to find fault in that.  I do know the meaning of fun - and the meaning is different for me.

I sound like a self-absorbed motivational speaker.  Oh well.  Possible future career?
